The Details
Based on the rare AL-1 jacket issued between 1947-1952. Features diagonal handwarmer pockets like the original, plus storage pockets at the hem. Hidden pockets on each side of the zipper give you plenty of storage options.
Construction Notes
High-density nylon with sizing coating sheds light rain and snow. Liner is 25% wool, 75% polyester for serious warmth without the itch. Fitted cut leaves room for a sweater underneath.
History
Designed as a replacement for heavier flight jackets at the end of WWII. The AL-1 was issued to Navy and Marine pilots operating in cold weather conditions. Our version keeps the practical features that made the original work so well.
